Still unable to confirm reservation with UR Jepson Alumni Center
“ Unlikely to get any confirmation before our August 1st deadline
Alternative event sites in Richmond:
“+ Virginia Union University available, but same problem as UR on COVID policy
“+ Virginia Museum of History & Culture closed for renovations till spring 2022
“> Cultural Arts Center of Glen Allen available, but cost & logistics problematic
«+ Do we want to reconsider using the Hermitage Country Club ???
Online research on possible locations in Charlottesville & northern Virginia
“+ Contacted these sites that appeared to be in our price range:
— DoubleTree Hotel Charlottesville (promptly sent event proposal with menu)
— Omni Charlottesville Hotel (not available on our date)
— Comfort Inn Monticello
— Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax
— Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park
Staff recommendation to select alternate site & sign contract if UR still uncertain on 8/1:

Decision on cost of individual tickets & table sponsorships
