VADP Board Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Jon, Linell, Greg, Lynn, Scott, Hunter, Matt E., Matt S., Steve,
Helena, Betty.

1. Approval of May 26, 2010 minutes - approved.
2. NCADP position update - not happening soon.

3. Tax filing - accountant to failed to file extension (again), Steve will
contact accountant to get him to write a letter saying it was his fault.

4. Google docs update - Jon finding it useful to have one place to keep and
update docs.

5. Board yearly pledges - at beginning of year each board member will be
asked how much will be pledged during coming year.

6. Finance Committee - Helena to have meeting with committee mid-July,
some VADP money doesn’t go through VOP, whole financial situation needs
to be looked at.

7. Board development and fundraising committee

a. John Whitehead - Steve/Helena/Greg - Greg to set up meeting.

b. Sen Donald McEachin (Dist 9) - Steve and Jerry - no update.

c. June appeal - Matt S. - $5,390.00 income, cost $1,760, net $3,630.

d. Linell’s fashion show - Linell - date change Dec 03, 2010 (evening).

e. Gov. Kaine - Steve - timeframe established for select supporters, letter
after Labor Day.

f. Quaker Meeting - Helena - letter sent 3-4 weeks ago to all clerks in VA
(15-18).

g. Church - Jerry - no update.

8. Website changes/update - Helena - article of Henry Heller being scanned
for web site.

9. Skype update - Lynn - large barrier to entry with equipment.
10. New ED update - Scott (Steve not present) - 15 applications in, handful

of them are worthy, cutoff Aug 01 for Steve and 2 others. Steve is front-
runner, needs decision by Sept 01.

11. NCADP call on direct mail - Hunter - focus on how organization is
meeting donors’ needs.

12. Board has voted to take Beth Penalaitis off the credit card. Steve to
provide 3™ signature.

13. Matt’s unemployment insurance. - Matt S./Helena/Jon to deal with off
meeting.
