Online content
FullscreenVIRGINIANS FOR ALTERNATIVES TO THE DEATH PENALTY Stop the Execution of Jerry Terrell Jackson! TO: Gov. Bob McDonnell We respectfully urge you to grant clemency to Jerry Terrell Jackson, who is scheduled to be executed by the state of Virginia on August 18, 2011 as punishment for his murder of Ms. Ruth Phillips ten years ago this month. We do not condone Mr. Jackson’s actions, however no amount of retaliatory violence will bring back or equal the value of Ms. Phillips. By commuting his sentence to life without the possibility of parole, Jackson will be severely punished and Virginians will remain safe from him. Gov. McDonnell, please use your power of executive clemency to stop the cycle of violence. Please Write Clearly Name Address City/Zip E-mail
