Scope and Content:

This collection consists of photographic negatives taken by the Black Studio, Inc., a commercial photography studio located in Schenectady, New York. The negatives include aerial shots, local businesses, passport portarits, weddings, advertising, and on-sight photography.

Biographical / Historical:

Black Studio was founded in 1942 in Schenectady, New York by Gene Black and purchased by Joseph Ianniello in 1975.

Acquisition information:
Michael Ianiello donated the collection to the M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections Archives in 2008 May .

The copyright interests in these materials have not been transferred to the University Libraries. Copyright resides with the Ianniello family and the family must be notified of all requests to digitize materials.
