Scope and Content:

The collection contains correspondence, letters to the editor, clippings, select issues of The Adirondack Defender, subject files, reports, flyers, political advertising, and video cassettes.

Biographical / Historical:

Frank Casier and his wife Audrey were long-time residents of Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Region of New York. Beginning in 1976, Casier served as co-publisher of The Adirondack Defender, published in Defense of the People of the Adirondacks. He also founded the Adirondack Defense League in 1977.

Frank, Audrey and David Casier donated the collection to the M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections Archives in 2015
