The Pre-Senate series contains Serphin Maltese's activities prior to becoming the State Senator for the 15th district. This includes his work as Queen’s Assistant District Attorney, his efforts as co-founder of the New York State Conservative Party, his 1976 campaign for assembly member in Queen’s 37th District, his work on campaigns for several high profile Conservative and Republican candidates and his campaigns for State Senate in 1984 and 1988. The types of records in this series include correspondence, campaign materials, clippings, administrative files, photographs, and newsletters.
