Action Core Volunteer Letter, Undated

Dear CMN Member(s),

Back in 2005 an idea arose at the CMN Board meeting to develop an “Action
Core.” What is the Action Core? It is any CMN member who is willing to
help, in any capacity, for any amount of time, small or large. If you volunteer
to be on the Action Core, we will periodically email or call you and ask for
your help. It might be something as simple as making a few phone calls or
typing up a list of songs. We will absolutely honor the amount of time you
are able and willing to give, we can promise you that.

We are currently looking to update our list of Action Core volunteers. It takes
quite a lot of work to keep our volunteer organization afloat. This pertains to
the annual conference AND also to the time and attention it takes to keep
the website current, make sure that our beautiful printed journal Pass /t On!
is published, and other various and important duties that are involved in
maintaining our organization. All these things are done by and for the
membership, which means all of us. While the board agrees to take on the
bulk of the work, we realize that we are much stronger when we work as a
team, when we all pitch in to help each other. So we are soliciting your help!

Some of the tasks needing to be done over the next few months are the
following:
1. Anyone in the Skokie, IIl., area with some extra time to help Caroline
with filing in the main office.
2. Someone with computer savvy and interest to keep CMN up in all the
various Internet arenas: we have a presence on Facebook, but need to
develop Twitter, and whatever new Internet sites that emerge.

If you have any time to offer for some of the above tasks, or just want to be
on our general Action Core list to be called on for random tasks at some
point, please contact Joanie Calem at jcalem@columbus.rr.com.
