Background

Scope and Content:

Collection contains task force reports, reports of joint legislative committees, reports of official criminal justice inquiries into abuses at correctional facilities, and issues of Crime and Delinquency.

Biographical / Historical:

Robert Corliss of Schenectady, New York was part of the inaugural class of the School of Criminal Justice at the University at Albany in 1968 and received his master's degree from the school in 1970.

Corliss previously was director of Criminal Justice at the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York State. Earlier, he served as the deputy director of the New York State Commission of Correction before retiring in 1999.

Acquisition information:
Robert Corliss donated all items to the M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives in August 2020.
