SIP Trio Notes
Dates: 10/22/2021
Notetaker: Jill Fish
Present: Iva GreyWolf, BJ Boyd, Jill Fish
Start: 2:32pm
Stop: 3:27pm
Pediatric Committee Referral: - Iva hasn’t looked through all applicants

   - BJ recommends Shannon Beach, PhD for
pediatric

   Committee; consensus reached among us
   - Can query individuals in the future if more
   opportunities arise (i.e., site visits)
   - Ask Royleen to thank those who put their
name
    forward
Virtual SIP Convention: - People need advance notice if we’re changing
dates; Iva
will request update about possible dates from
Melissa to
   host at USU
   - BJ confirms we have funds for blended
convention if need
   be
EC Meeting Attendance: - Do we replace people who do not attend?
   - Importance of identifying expectations for
serving on the
committee and articulating it to members; BJ will
write a
    draft of this
Future Website/IT Update: - Have specific email handles for particular
concerns
        (e.g., students, treasurer, etc.)

        - BJ, John, will converse with future IT person
to resolve
        “glitches” regarding due payments/finances
        - BJ consulted with Minneapolis IT person (who
was

recommended by John); IT said it would take
approximately 3 months to create website or
a few
weeks if he revised the current website; cost
is $60 per
hour and he can teach us how to make minor
changes
         on our own
         - BJ also consulted with Buffalo Nickel Co. but
it has
been a convoluted process; BJ will go through
with
meeting with them, then make a final decision
Bylaw Update: - Streamlining and making more succinct; will meet again
to
continue revising them in two weeks
Miscellaneous: - Should there be a policy for how we funnel opportunities
to SIP
        members?

                     - Unsure if the bylaws are the appropriate place for this
        - Iva says other organizations put forward members; SIP
has to decide
the extent to which leadership is involved with
recommending
          members and how
          - Request Joe insights
