4. Committee Reports
a.
Gambling: SIPs will accept gambling funds (majority rule). Only members of SIP
should be voting members, per Carolyn.
b. 6 positive responses to accept gaming monies and possibly jackets, blankets, etc.
c.
By Laws: Council of Elders suggest changes to “by laws” to add observer/member
d. Doug – APA Observer. Reading from Doug McDonald, Political APA Governance
Committee – SIPs still not a full member, just an observer. Can’t vote but we can
speak

Newsletter – List what you’re doing in your practice/research
g. Membership Card – Do we want to create one for SIPs

Deters elected)
Treasurer: Pat Alexander (Pat Alexander’s position questioned by board members at
large. Pat agrees to continue as treasurer until someone else volunteers for the
position.)
Secretary: Joseph Amador, M.S.
Secretary Elect Nominations: Jackie Grey, Brian McNeil, Jami Bartgis, (Jami Bartgis
elected).
6. New Business
a.
SIP Meetings need to be more respectful. We need to follow Robert’s Rules and
document; what the topic is, what was said, and what the outcome of the vote is. Maybe
have committees/sub-committees
b. SIPs need monies to attend conferences, Council of Representatives
