Society of Indian Psychologists Executive Council Meeting Minutes
October 12, 2011
A conference call with the Executive Council of the Society of Indian Psychologists was held on October 
12, 2011. The meeting convened at approximately 11:00am (CST). 
Members in attendance: Pam Deters, Jacque Gray, John Chaney, Wendy Peters, Iva Greywolf, Toni 
Quaintance, and Joanna Shadlow.
Review of the Executive Council meeting minutes from September, 2011 was completed. 
Feedback regarding Wendy Peters website design and development was very positive. Only concern was
regarding actual need for password to website materials. Wendy Peters reported that a Paypal account 
will be set up on website when it goes live. Some discussion was held regarding desire to be sponsored 
by advertisers on website. Wendy Peters made $287 donation to SIP for development of the website 
and is donating her time as the webmaster. Conference call attendees thanked Wendy for her 
generosity.  Wendy agreed to put on website homepage a reminder of 25th anniversary of SIP 
conference. Discussed getting approval from two people Jacque Gray and possibly Joanna Shadlow 
before things are put on website. Patricia Alexander requested to have a tool on website to see how 
many people are accessing the website. Wendy Peters reported that is easily done and she will set that 
up. Jacque Gray will contact Gail Mason to discuss the state of the website development. 
Wendy Peters contacted Gayle Morse regarding “Save the Date” for next year’s 25th anniversary 
invitations for past presidents, but has not heard back. The reminder is on the website and when Wendy
and Gayle connect more may develop. 
Discussion regarding program committee for conference 2012 was held. Iva Greywolf agreed to contact 
Carolyn Barcus and Gayle Morse to proceed on program development. Pam Deters agreed to help with 
organizing program for the upcoming conference if needed. Discussion for program included 
incorporating past presidents of SIP in some way. Gifts for the 2012 conference were discussed.
Jacque Gray: 
*Leadership Development Institute. Discussion was held regarding recent email from Marge 
Smith-Zoellner regarding how to proceed with electing a mentor and fellow for the Leadership 
Development Institute. Pam Deters agreed to contact Marge regarding what needs to be done. 
*APA requested that SIP elected 1 or 2 members to become part of a writing/research project 
dedicated to making APA ethnics code more applicable for when working with ethnic minority 
clients. Jacque Gray suggested asking Dan and Carolyn Foster and the conference call attendees 
agreed. 
Action items for next conference call which his set for November 9th at 11am (CST): 
*Continued website updates from Wendy Peters and Jacque Gray regarding call to Gail Mason. 
*Update regarding “Save the Date” for next year’s SIP conference especially for past presidents from 
Wendy Peters and Gayle Morse. 
*Discussion from SIP Conference Program Committee for SIP conference in June 2012. 
*Update from Pam Deters regarding Leadership Development Committee. 
*Discussion regarding possible collaboration on presentations for SIP members at APA Hawaii 2013. 
Meeting adjourned at 11:55am.
