Dear Dr. Mihecoby,

The Commission on Ethnic Minority Recruitment, Retention, and Training in Psychology II (CEMRRAT2) Task
Force is pleased to inform you that your proposal was among those selected for funding. We read, with interest,
your proposal submitted under the Current Initiative: Racial/Ethnic Minority Health Disparities priority
funding area for Improving Access to Quality Mental Health Care for Native Americans and Alaska Natives to
increase representation of ethnic minorities in minority mental health practice. The Task Force was very impressed
with many aspects of your proposal, particularly providing resources to Native psychology graduates to support
licensure requirement. Based on your proposed budget and our available funds, the Task Force has awarded
you $3,120.

It is our goal to distribute the funds on or around October 1, 2018. In order to facilitate your prompt receipt of the
awarded funds, please complete the attached forms, which can be emailed to ghendy@apa.org or faxed to the APA
Office of Ethnic Minority Affairs (OEMA) at (202) 336-6040 BEFORE September 21, 2018. The form requests
contact information for your organization’s financial officer. In many cases, this will be a grants administrator. APA
policy stipulates that funds may not be disbursed to an individual. The payee for your award check must be your
organization and the check will be sent to the attention of the financial officer, who may not be named as a principle
or secondary applicant for the grant. PLEASE NOTE: A brief progress report must be received no later than
December 1, 2019 for submission to the APA Board of Directors and Council of Representatives for their
information. A final report will be due within 60 days after completion of the project.

The Task Force thanks you again for your project submission. It is because of you and your colleagues across the
country that this year’s effort has been so successful. The many submissions produced a substantial number of
highly qualified programs and projects to consider for funding. We are confident that your planned effort will
enhance the ongoing implementation of the APA CEMRRAT Plan.

If you have any questions about this award or require additional information, please feel free to contact OEMA at
(202) 336-6029 or oema@apa.org

Sincerely,
