Dear Drs. Anton, Kaslow and McDaniel,

Recently SIP has been discussing the nature of the role the Society of Indian Psychologists (SIP)
representative has in the Council of Representative's (COR) meetings.

As you recall, we were invited, along with three other ethnic minority psychological associations
(EMPAs), to attend and offer expertise of our respective groups that would be helpful for council in their
deliberations. There was also hope that our groups would also obtain a voting seat on COR at some
point. Since the vote to gain seats for the EMPAs did not pass, our role has been less clear.

One act to publicly acknowledge and elucidate our role that we would suggest is to add the name(s) of
our COR (and other EMPA) observer(s) as invited delegates to the Council web page. That way it would
be clear, that while we are not voting members, we are representatives to council.

With warm regards,
