Dear Mr. and Mrs. Jolley,
I am writing on behalf of the executive committee and the members of the Society of Indian
Psychologists to express our heartfelt appreciation for your extremely generous donation of two
checks totaling $30,000. Your donation will significantly further the Society’s purpose of
advancing psychology as a science and a profession in service to Native peoples of the Americas,
reducing health disparities and related challenges facing indigenous people. As you are aware,
the Society is deeply involved with promoting culturally responsive education and training of
American Indian and Alaskan Native students in psychology and related disciplines,
psychological research, and psychological services in Native communities. You have made an
invaluable contribution to our efforts in the areas.
In recognition of your significant support, and in recognition of our ongoing relationship with
you as Dorothy continues with her education and preparation to join the field of psychology, the
Society is pleased to extend to each of you a lifetime membership in the Society of Indian
Psychologists, with all the rights and benefits that such membership affords.
Again, thank you for your kind and generous support. We look forward to a long and productive
collegial relationship.
Sincerely,
Art Blume, Ph.D. (Cherokee/Choctaw)
