Dear readers, since pictures are worth a thousand words (or more) we share our photos of the Grannies for Peace, May 12th,
silent march and vigil at the Tulip Fest. These photos are dedicated to the memory of all of our troops and all of the Afghan
civilians who have died over the past 11 years of war. They are also dedicated in honor of the courageous Afghanistan and
Iraq Veterans Against the War and the Afghan Women Against the War, who spoke out in Chicago this past Sunday against
continued war and killing in Afghanistan [for another two ~~ or another 14 years]. Finally our silent march and vigil honors
all of our military members who have been injured and who need the time to heal from the emotional and physical ravages
of unnecessary war. Personally, with gratitude from my heart to theirs I give great honor and appreciation to the Grannies
for Peace! [caption id="attachment_3388" align="alignright" wit

A small visitor to remind us
that war affects all of the living beings in the web of life. Thank you for joining our circle ladybug! The ladybug is actually a
beetle and a very beautiful one[/caption] And we leave you with our closing song, "Profit War No More" to the tune of
"Down By The Riverside" New words by yours truly: We're gonna lay down our bombs and guns, down by the riverside,
down by the riverside, down by the riverside. We’re gonna lay down our bombs and guns, down by the riverside - and profit
war no more. We aint gonna profit war no more. We aint gonna profit war no more. We aint gonna profit war no more (2
times). |We're gonna give up our killer drones... We're gonna outlaw all cluster bombs..._ We're gonna bring our war
dollars home... We’re gonna join hands around the world...
