Just as I was finishing up this article I discovered a_short article
written by Dave Lucas of WAMC. It's accompanied by a 3 minute audio with the voices of three of the speakers. The image
below shows their images combined with a Code Pink call to join the January 25th Global Day of Protest. Nice photo
collage, Dave. [caption id="attachment_ 13590" align="alignnone" width="600"]

On Saturday, January 25, 2020 here in the Capital

District. Actually in a park in Albany. A wide coalition of people working against more war, and for economic and social
justice, and human rights gathered in a rally. Our group, that attracted more than 200 people on a cold, gray day was one of
many in a Global Day of efforts to stop War with Iran. We were part of the effort that included 13 separate events in NY
State and approximately 180 rallies world wide. In other countries there were varying numbers of demonstrations. Including
cities in Armenia, Australia, Belgium, 13 cities in Canada, regions of Spain and Catalonia, Denmark, Finland, Germany,
Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Slovenia, South Korea, Uganda, United Kingdom, and Venezuela. There may be
a few others that were added after this report. Let's hope that the US has learned some lessons after the two most long lasting
wars; based on lies and misinformation. In 2002 and 2003 millions of people protested the war on Iraq but it happened
anyway. To disastrous effects that are still reverberating all over the Middle East and parts of Asia right now. Rather than
write about the vital subjects covered in the rally I thought that I'd let the leaflet, signs and banners speak for themselves.
Making this mainly a photo essay, with a link to a brief but well written article in the Saturday online Times Union. Thank
you Rebecca Carballo. There are a few photos in the TU article, taken by the reporter herself. In the body of this photo
journal I'm going to be using the photos taken by two women: Mabel Leon and Teresa Meade. As you can see in their photos
there were others taking pictures. But I don't have access to those at this time. I think that these photos capture the spirit and
diversity of the rally and the hope for more peace and more improvement in human rights, equality, and economic justice at
home and all over the world.

These first seven photos were taken by Teresa Meade:

the program. Naomi Jaffe waiting to speak on the left side of the stage in the orange jacket.
