Grannies for Peace Vigil, photo journal of our time with
beautiful people, dogs and tulips.

As a companion to last week's
article about our message for this year's Grannies for Peace vigil here's a photo journal from three Women Against
War/Grannies for Peace photographers. It was a rainy day so there were fewer Grannies and allies and fewer Tulip Fest
attendees but more than enough for leaflets and ideas to be exchanged. After the semi silent vigil, which morphed briefly
into a dancing vigil, a few pairs of Grannies leafleted in the park. We also thank our allies who by now are at least honorary
Grannies, Dan Wilcox and John Amidon of Veterans for Peace and Harry Thornhill, who, with Granny Joan is an invaluable
asset to all of our set up, take down and practical props team for many Women Against War vigils and actions. These photos

And in the spirit of Mothers
including those passing by in the park, and children and Mother Earth who surrounds and blesses us with her beauty in all
seasons, Mabel has added some photographic context for the love and determination that we all shared this Saturday of

Mother's Day weekend:

Let me just add that our new,
Support and Protect Our Children banner was not originally in color but was designed in black and white by Joan Thornhill
and Mabel Leon. It was then colored in with permanent markers by Mabel, and Schenectady Neighbors for Peace member,
Jackie Donegan. A labor of loving personal creativity that will stand with us into the future. [caption id="attachment_9804"
