Yemen, banner designed by Mabel Leon. End Genocide in Yemen. Stop US bombs. [/caption] On a rainy and raw Saturday
afternoon, during the Washington Park Tulip Fest, Grannies for Peace and allies gathered for our annual vigil in the Park
where our messages reached hundreds of tulip gazers, music listeners, young and older adults, and families with dogs and
children. [caption id="attachment_11191" align="alignnone" width="443"]

amounts of time During the standing vigil there were two people handing out leaflets. After the first hour pairs of leafleters
went out with colorful carnations and more leaflets. Here's the text of our leaflet, meant to reach people with a basic
message. The rain made taking photos a bit challenging but Mabel did her usual thorough and creative job, and we'll use
captions to bring the messages on the posters more clearly to our readers. [caption id="attachment_ 11193"

she made for the Stop Bombing Yemen vigil, photo by Mabel Leon[/caption] We've been writing about US complicity in
what amounts to the indiscriminate slaughter and deliberate starvation of thousands of civilians, and the destruction of all
basic infrastructure in Yemen during the three years since the Saudi-led coalition entered what had previously been a many
year civil war. Since the leaflet was too brief to cover all of that territory here are links to a few of our more recent articles:
(murderous) Saudi led war in Yemen You can find others in our archives if you search under Yemen But to hear a small part
of our message in spoken words, this is a brief video[2:09 minutes] that John Amidon of Veterans for Peace produced at the
vigil with words from Maud and Mabel, and more images.

Speaking of images, here are some that we considered, and in some cases used, for our posters [caption
