RE: James Earl Slaughter v. Phil Parker, 064716
Dear Attorney General Stumbo,
Mr. Slaughter is a death-sentenced prisoner at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville. He
has filed a writ of certiorari in the United States Supreme Court challenging his death sentence.
The Catholic Conference of Kentucky intends to file an amicus curiae brief in support of Mr.
Slaughter’ s petition. Supreme Court Rule 37(2) requires that we seek the written consent of all
parties prior to filing such a brief. This letter is to request your written consent.
