KCADP Board Meeting
June 8, 2020
Minutes

Present: All members of the Board were present on the Zoom call. Aaron Bentley, Dawn
Jenkins, Kate Mudd, Pat Delahanty, Zach Everson, Mike Von Allman, Kaye Gallagher, Ben
Griffith, Mark Meade and Kate Miller.

1. Meeting was called to order a little late at 6:41 by Aaron. There was a difficulty with the
Zoom link and a new one was emailed out to everyone just before our regular start time of
6:30.

2. Minutes from March were approved as written.

3. Treasurers Report was approved. Bank statements were submitted. At the end of May we
had almost $82,000 in our account.

4. 8" Amendment Project update. Aaron tried to attend a call but there was a mix up in the
time by the organizers. They will initiate another call soon. The project is interested in
Kentucky right now which is a positive development.

5. Legislative Update. Pat reported on his disappointment in how the bill died in the Senate
Republican caucus. An encouraging development was the retirement of Senator Harris. Both
the Republican and Democrat candidates running to fill his seat are on record to support our
efforts. This means we will gain one vote in that body. Pat also let us know that his health may
make it very difficult for him to continue the same schedule of lobbying contact. We all hope
that his body will feel better soon.

There followed some discussion on general matters surrounding how to move legislation and to
engage evangelical communities. Several other positive developments were noted on events at
the national level: Bobby Moore in Texas got paroled off death row. And the 168" innocent
person being taken off death row was just announced.

6. Officer Election. The current slate of officers all expressed a willingness to continue. No
other Board member expressed an interest in running for office. We nominated the following
slate and approved their election for the coming year: Aaron Bentley as President, Kate Miller
as Vice-President, Kaye Gallagher as Treasurer, and Ben Griffith as Secretary.

7. Next Meeting will be September 14".

The meeting was adjourned at 7:02 pm.
