Coalition Building
Overview:
KCADP has joined in as Coalition partners on the Kentucky- Criminal Justice Issues Group, we
have asked this group to share and be vocal on abolition support. Completed draft one page
layout for new website along with Co-Director.
On the National level: Attending weekly and Bi-Weekly trainings and meetings with 8AP and
grant funders.

Advocacy/Communications
Overview:
Received an email from the Mayor's team, the request came from a former intern who
would like me to speak with the Youth Implementation Team and Safe and Healthy
Neighborhoods. Both groups will be working on creating 3 policy resolutions and are
interested in hearing how we approach our work. The email also stated that if | agree to
meet and hold a training session on advocacy that | can join the small team to discuss a
specific policy resolution. Shared information with Co-Director and we are weighing the
value and strategy of the proposal.
Continuing work with Marcus Jackson around advocacy/communication series with
Standford, Halverson, and others who are and/or have been housed at Eddyville.

Education/Outreach
Education: Met with University of Louisville professors to provide layout for guest lectures on
Nov. 16" & 18”. Lectures will be an even mix of abolition information and advocacy training.
Outreach: Participated in the 2021 Neighborhood Summit: Healing Our Communities and was
able to connect with voters from Districts 1,10,9, & 17. Contact information added to supporter
list. Reached out to Paul Komark for invitation into the Covington/Hebron Ky/Cincinnati area
communities. Paul was gracious and has offered to host KCADP for in-person introductions into
groups. Paul works with communities and religious groups on Justice work and coalition
building.
