Honesty is always the best policy
Getting caught in the cookie jar a humbling experience

By DARYL TABOR dtabor@kentuckynewera.com

I was never so sorry for eating a snack before supper as when I was caught with my hand
in the cookie jar. That disapproving glare from Mom made it easy to apologize for
spoiling my appetite.

But those cookies that slipped past her watchful eye and into my stomach were never
followed by an apology. After all, what she didn't know, didn't hurt her, right?

Last week, Paul Patton learned that those snacks you thought you kept from Mom
sometimes reappear on the supper table.
