Vickie Cox - "The Love We Had For Him", 2009 May 26, 2021 March 16

Hi, my name is Thiki Cox.
My brother Michael was killed several years ago.
It devastated our family, especially since he was young at 7-11.
However, we decided to concentrate on the love we had for him
instead of the evil that was done to him.
And retrospect, looking back, what's the best thing to do?
We didn't want the evil that someone had did rob us of the love
and thinking about how that person should be punished.
What does it mean when you actually someone's life is taken
and you want to refocus all your energy on taking that person's life?
It didn't make sense to us.
We wanted that person to live with the memory of what he did
and eventually come to terms with being sorry for what he did.
That's why my family and I are against the death penalty.
Just think about it.
Celebrate the love you had with it alone.
One, messed up the evil that somebody did to them.
I thank you so much, better, about living.
