Targeted Legislators List, 2020 January 28

This list includes the names of legislators who fall into three camps: 1. Are total abolitionists; 2. Based
on conversations we suspect they could be persuaded to vote to abolish; 3 those with whom we have
never had a conversation.

Since the bill under consideration does not completely abolish the death penalty, the hope is those in
the latter camp could be persuaded to become yes votes on HB 237.

For those in camp 3, it would be good to find out where they are on the issue.

Please be speaking to these folks about HB 237 and asking for their support. If you have conversations
with any of them, please remember to let us know the substance of the conversation and any questions
or reservations they might have. For those in bold type, please ask them to co-sponsor the legislation
since they are already on board with abolition.
