Members of this group are leaders in pastoral ministry from various faith
communities throughout Kentucky. The purpose is to use this as a place to
exchange ideas and report on activities implemented to educate others regarding
the use of the death penalty in Kentucky and move them to act to ask their
elected officials in the legislative and executive branch to replace execution
with prison terms.
Repeal of the death penalty in Kentucky will end the risk of executing an
innocent person, provide justice and possibly closure to murder victims' family
members because a prison term begins immediately, punish the guilty severely for
taking a human life, and protect society from the violent behavior of a killer.
