Dear Fr. Pat:
Thank you so very much for coming to Kansas last weekend to keynote at the Forum in
Wichita!
When our team met yesterday, Mary shared with folks how very much she learned from your
presentation. | also found helpful some of your ways of phrasing things. Your decades jong
history of work in the KY Legislature has certainly given you insights into strategy and language.
If you have not already sent Mary the slides, please do so. | know | would like to spend some
more time with them myself.
On a more personal note, Fr. Pat, it was wonderful having you here. | so enjoyed our visit on
Friday evening over supper and then afterwards. | found myself challenged (in a good way) by
your ability to build into your schedule things that renew you. It was a reminder to me to look
again at that part of my life. And, | deeply appreciated our conversation about so many aspects
of life--including Mr. Rudy! You always get me to think!
Finally, Bea Swoopes said to tell you hello! She had planned on coming last Saturday but ended
up not doing so because of the pace of their week and the distance involved (Kansas City to
Wichita),
Fr. Pat, thank you again for journeying out here! Even though the numbers were small, | have no
doubt that your visit is bearing fruit! Have a great week!
