SR. HELEN PREJEAN’S KENTUCKY VISIT - OCTOBER 23 -26

10/23: Thursday

7:15 pm - Private Dinner with some generous donors. I need to know when Helen
is landing and I will meet her at the airport and take her to Dr. Brockman’s home
if there is time before the dinner. Dinner should be over by 9, 9:30. I will take her
to Dr. Brockman’s

10/24: Friday

10am — 1:30 pm Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers,
presentation and lunch, book sales and signing. I will pick Helen up at the
Brockman’s and take her to this event in downtown Louisville. We are getting
there early so she can autograph and sell books prior to the presentation. She will
present for about 45 min at 11am and take questions; then there is lunch and
during part of that time I hope she can sign books and sell them because we have
to leave at 1pm to get to Lexington.

Lexington — 2:30 interview with Rene Shaw. This is a public television interview
and watched by policy makers. Very important. We will leave there and head for
northern KY.

Northern KY —I will get Helen to the Church where the annual meeting of the
Kentucky Council of Churches is having its annual convening. There she will
preach a homily at a service at 7 pm, after which there is time to sell books and
sign them. Before the prayer service, there is a reception and supper and I will
have her there in time for both.

We will leave there and go to a local convent which is extending the two of us
their hospitality with a room for the night.

10/25: Saturday

Leave northern KY when Helen wants to and come to Louisville. Take Helen
wherever she wants to go, Brockman’s, coffee shop, whatever. Can go to lunch
together if she wants.

7:30 pm — presentation at St. Michael’s Church. This event is being pushed by the
Archdiocesan Respect Life office, but sponsored by the Coalition. I would
suggest we get there for a 6:00 Mass and then stay for the presentation. Once the
presentation is ended books are sold, signed. Then I will get Helen to the
Brockman’s for the evening.

10/26 : Sunday — I will pick her up at the Brockman’s and get her to the airport.

Books: I will be getting addresses for where to send the books and sending that to you
soon. We are expecting 50 attendees at the KACDL event; 200 for the KCC event; and
200 for the St. Michael’s event.

I would like signed copies for Chief Justice Minton, Dan Goyette, Marian Taylor, Rene
Shaw and each of the guests at the private dinner party (I don’t know exact number yet,
but less than 20).

I hope all this helps and am looking forward to a very successful trip for Helen.
