Sir/Madam:
I liked what Ernie Fletcher used to say about restoring hope.

But, somehow, Governor Fletcher seems to have forgotten what
Candidate Fletcher felt about hope.

That’s especially apparent when it comes to putting people to
death under Kentucky’s death penalty. I can’t understand how a
man like Governor Fletcher—a licensed medical doctor and a
minister—can participate in the execution of anyone.

Let Governor Fletcher know that you believe in the power of
hope. Let him know that hope means sparing the lives of people
like Thomas Bowling, a man currently sitting on death row in
Eddyville. let him know that life without the possibility of
probation or parole would be an acceptable and more hopeful
alternative to a death sentence.

Tell Governor Fletcher that hope should be more than a bunch of
hollow campaign rhetoric.

Yours truly,
