This series contains primarily correspondence conducted by Fried during his years of service as United Nations Expert on International Law assigned to the Government of Nepal. Fried was located in Kathmandu, Nepal, 1964-1966. Included in this series are letters to relatives and especially letters to and from his first wife (Edrita), who became ill in Nepal and was forced to return to the U.S.
