New York, N.Y.

Dear Dr.dohnson:

I am just emerging from beneath a pile of
work that greeted me upon my arrival home last week furu Europe

I write you today on behalf of Professor
Dr. Heinrich Rheinstrom, formerly of the University of
Munich Law Faculty, who is now practicing International
Law in Paris and London.

He and his wife have decided to come to America,
where his brother is now residing. There is no possibility
of his getting a quota-visa there inside of the next two
years since all German quotanumbers allotted to the Paris
Consulate are distributed for that length of time.

He has, however, been delivering law lectures in Paris
for the past two years and is therefore qualified to
obtain a non-quota visa if he can secure an invitation
from a reputable Law School to lecture there.

I enclose a short "Lebenslauf" of Professor
Rheinstrom, and it occurred to me that the New School
of Social Research might well desire to have a professor
of his recognized ability on its staff of lecturers.

I should greatly appreciate it if you could let

me know at your earliest convenience whether this can
be done, so that 4+ could cable him to Paywis accordingly.
