Background
- Scope and Content:
The collection contains correspondence, play scripts, film treatments and synopses in Hungarian, German and English. The main collection of Ladislaus Fodor's papers is at the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, Frankfurt am Main.
- Biographical / Historical:
Ladislaus Fodor (1898-1978) was a Hungarian novelist, playwright and screenwriter. Some of his plays include A Church Mouse, Jewel Robbery, I Love an Actress, The Kiss Before the Mirror, Youth at the Helm, and Matura.
- Acquisition information:
- All items in this collection were transferred to the University Libraries, M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives in 1991 by Hannes Parnegg, Ladislaus Fodor's stepson and executor of his estate.
