Background

Scope and content:
This collection includes two letterpress copybooks, 1877-1897; ledger, 1880-1881; and a cash book, 1901-1903. In one of the copybooks is an 1891 report of a committee charged with determining the cost of installing electric street lights in Pascoag.
Biographical / historical:
Henry M. Chase and his father William L. Chase owned a company in Pascoag and Woonsocket, Rhode Island, which specialized in the manufacturing of windows, doors, blinds, and moldings.
Acquisition information:
The collection was purchased from dealer Whitlock in 1967.
