Re: Recognition Opportunity to Name School of Business Building

I recommend that the Council adopt the following resolution:

WHEREAS, the Division of Development seeks the Council’s approval to name the new School
of Business building the Massry Center for Business in recognition of the Massry family’s
historic contribution of $5,250,000.00 in support of the School of Business’ students, programs
and initiatives;

WHEREAS, pending approval from University Council this recognition opportunity will be
forwarded to SUNY System Administration for final review and approval; and

WHEREAS, this amount specified for naming comports with previous guidelines determined by
The University at Albany Foundation; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the new School of Business building at the University at Albany hereafter
shall be named the Massry Center for Business in recognition of the Massry family’s historic
contribution of $5,250,000.00 in support of the School of Business’ students, programs and
initiatives.
