Announcements 
·rhe meeting was called to order. at 3: 113 P.M. by Chair.-I.Uec t v·. Aceto in 
the Campus Center. Assembly Hall. 
Dr. Aceto stat.ed that the purpose of the 
meeting was to elec.t a Chair-Elect and a Secretary for the 1.987-88 
academic year. 
Dr. Aceto announced the candlda.tes for t~he office of Chair-F.:lect. 
They 
were: W. Hammond of Mat.hema.Hcs and st~at.istics, G. Purrlngton of 
Educationa.l Admlnistration and Policy studies, and Ed Re:l.J.ly of Computer 
Science. 
A motlon was made and seconded to close noml.nat:l.ons for 
Chair--ll:l.ec. t. 
The bal.lotting did not result in a majorH:y and a second ballot was 
conducted, resulting in W. Hammond. being el.ec ted Cha..ir-Elec t of the 
University Senate for the 1987-88 year. 
Candidates were introduced for.• t;he office of Sena.t:.e Secretary. 
They were: 
W. Lanford, Department of Physlcs, and. G. DeSole, Office of Afflrmative 
Action. 
W. J .. a.nford was elected Senate Secretary. 
Ballots were collected and counted by SUNY Senators Scatton a.nd. Cannon. 
The meeting was adjourned at 3:50 P.M.
