UAC Report, May 4, 2022 to University Senate
UAC Meeting, April 13, 2022
UAC approved a proposal from the Computer Science Department to deactivate and discontinue the CS-
MATH BS degree with appropriate phasing out plans to accommodate students already in the pipeline.
UAC approved a proposal from the Biology and Psychology Departments to suspend admission to the
Neuroscience minor. A plan to accommodate students already declared from the sophomore level and
up was submitted.
UAC reported that admissions to Departmental majors in Art and Music are discontinued because the
programs are not properly registered with SUNY and the SED. Arrangements are underway for current
students to complete those programs.
UAC approved a proposal from the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and
Cybersecurity to create a minor in Game Design and Development.
Members of UAC and GAC had formed subcommittees to review policies on Shared Resource Courses
and for Combined Programs earlier this semester. Each subcommittee chair presented reports. UAC
approved each proposal.
UAC Meeting, April 29, 2022
UAC approved a proposal from the Economics Department to change the name of the ECO BS program
to Quantitative Economics and Data Analysis.
UAC approved a proposal from the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and
Cybersecurity to create 4+1 programs with the Informatics BS and Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity
MS and the Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity BS and Digital Forensics and
Cybersecurity MS.
UAC approved re-registration proposals for Communication and Actuarial and Mathematical Sciences.

0 programs waiting for UAC review (UAC is prepared to review additional programs this summer)
2 did not require re-registration
All others are somewhere in the approval process

Cybersecurity to create a minor in Machine Learning Informatics.
