RE: Academic Calendar 2008-9
Attached for your information is the basic academic calendar for
the 2008-9 academic year as recommended by the University Policy &
Planning Council and approved by Provost and Officer in Charge Susan
Herbst.
The 2008-9 Academic Calendar is similar to those of recent years
and it complies with NYS Education Department standards and the
existing calendar policies of our institution. The Fall semester begins on
August 25, 2008 and ends December 18, 2008. A four week
wintersession is available beginning December 18" and ending January
16. The Spring semester begins on Wednesday January 21, 2009 and
ends with Commencement Weekend on May 16" & 17".
The planning calendar for Fall 2008, Spring 2009 is also available
on-line from the “Calendars & Schedules” tab of the main UAlbany
homepage or directly at
