Greetings:
 
The Academic Progress Review Committee will begin its work shortly under the leadership of its co-
chairs, Vice-Provosts Kevin Williams and JoAnne Malatesta.  You have been recommended to serve on
this committee and will be notified shortly of its first meeting.  The membership is listed below the
signature line of this email.
 
Jim Mower, Senate Chair, has charged the meeting to:
 
·         Identify overlapping responsibilities in the program approval process
·         Recommend changes to the process that will increase efficiencies and reduce redundancies
·         Implement the recommendations upon approval of the Senate Executive Committee by the
April 29, 2019 meeting
Many of you are familiar with the critical documents we use as part of the process but just to be
thorough you will be receiving the following information to have at hand for  our investigation:
 
·         Three Flow Charts
o   SUNY Program Development/Review Process
o   Undergraduate Process
o   Graduate Process for Program Approval
·         Phase I Forms (templates):
o   Letter of Intent
o   Program Announcement
o   UPPC Campus Impact Form
·         Phase II Form:

o   SEC
Please be sure to familiarize yourself with this information prior to the first meeting.
