Brian Rose, CoR Chair 2021-22
The Council on Research met on 11/3/2021.
We welcomed prospective new CoR member Jianwei Zhang from the School of
Education.

We expect that the Senate will confirm Dr. Zhang’s membership on the Council at
the meeting on 11/10/2021.
CoR voted to approve an updated slate of subcommittee rosters.
CoR chair Rose noted that we currently have no representative from the Professional
faculty. Senate leadership is aware of this gap and may find a new member for CoR.
CoR subcommittees will be reviewing proposals for FRAP-A and Benevolent awards
over the next month.
CoR had a brief discussion about proposed revisions to the FRAP-A program that were
drafted in Spring 2021. We hope to deliver these recommendations to the new incoming
VPRED (timing still uncertain).
CoR is scheduled to meet again on 12/1/2021.
