The meeting was called to order by Sydney Faught at 2:45pm, presiding.
Jesse Ernst moved to postpone the approval of the meeting minutes of April to next Senate 
meeting when they will be available. Richard Rose seconded. The motion carried by unanimous 
consent.
Senate Chair Sydney Faught reported to the Senate, followed by a question-and-answer period.
Provost Kim reported to the Senate, followed by a question-and-answer period.

New Business
1. Confirmation of one-year Senate terms for 2022-2023 Council Chairs. Ewan McNay 
motioned to conduct the vote as an approval for all 4 nominees for 1 year Senate terms, 
and Jesse Ernst seconded. The motion to conduct the vote for all 4 nominations together 
instead of separately was approved by unanimous consent. 
Votes: 47-approve, 0-disapprove, 0-abstain.
2. Confirmation of new council and committee members. Alexander Dawson motioned to 
conduct the vote as an approval for all council nominations, Christian Poehlmann 
seconded. The motion to conduct the vote for all council nominations together instead of 
separately was approved by unanimous consent. 
Votes: 45-approve, 0-disapprove, 0-abstain.
The meeting adjourned at 4:10 pm.
