Dear Colleagues:
As part of our continued pursuit of the Association of Public & Land Grant Universities (APLU) Innovation and Economic Prosperity (IEP) designation, the Division for Research is inviting interested faculty and staff to a special Town Hall style discussion. The Town Hall meetings will be held virtually through Zoom on Friday, March 26 th at 9:00am and Wednesday, April 7 th at 9:00am.
The focus of the discussion will be on the survey data collected last Fall semester that is linked here . We will explore more in depth issues relating to these questions focusing on APLU’s Economic Engagement framework in the areas of Talent, Innovation and Place using the Zoom meeting function to maximize participation and engagement.
Interested faculty and staff can register for one of the two sessions by clicking here . Attendance will be capped at 30 registrants for each session to encourage discussion from all participants. In order to facilitate getting a representative mix of faculty and staff to discuss these issues, registrations will be reviewed and confirmation emails sent to those faculty and staff that will be invited to attend.
Any interested faculty/staff that are not afforded the opportunity to attend will be provided opportunities to submit written comments and can direct questions on the process to Matt Grattan, Director of Community and Economic Development at mgrattan@albany.edu .
