Since fuel prices have been manageable the last few years you probably haven’t considered changing your mode of transportation to the University or even been aware of the many transportation options provided at and through the University at Albany. Parking and Mass Transit Services in conjunction with the Office of Human Resources Management and the Office of Sustainability are pleased to inform you that as part of the University’s continued transportation demand management efforts we will be relaunching the ridesharing program , 511NY Rideshare . http://511nyrideshare.org/
511NY Rideshare is a free online tool that commuters, travelers, and employers can use to find other travelers to share a ride. 511NY Rideshare offers a suite of programs and services such as ride matching for carpools and vanpools, the Guaranteed Ride Program, in addition to informational resources for transit services and telecommuting. The ride matching system can even find you a biking or walking buddy along a specified route or in an area of your origin or destination.
To highlight the program and to answer any questions you may have we will be having an informational meeting to discuss 511NY Rideshare on Wednesday, 2/15/17 from 2p-3p in LC 22 . We hope that you can join us and will take advantage of these services as we continue to reduce our carbon footprint, both locally and globally.
Thank you,
Parking & Mass Transit Services
