Proposal 2010-0485

Dear Interim Provost Lavallee:

This letter is in response to your correspondence of March 8, 2010, and received March 11,
2010 requesting registration of a proposed Advanced Certificate program in Professional Science
Management to be offered by State University of New York at Albany.

| am pleased to inform you that on the basis of our review the program detailed on the
attached listing from the Inventory of Registered Programs is registered for general purposes under
Subchapter A of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education (Chapter II of Title 8 of the
Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations forthe State of New York) until September 1,
2011. After that date, registration will be extended annually until the Department's next review is
conducted.

Please note that the attached Inventory listing records this advanced certificate program as
ineligible for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and Aid for Part-time Study (APTS). Programs of
less than one academic year’s duration (fewer than 24 semester hours) are ineligible for these State
student financial aid programs. Additionally, APTS awards are available for undergraduate study
only. The program is eligible for Vietnam Veterans Tuition Awards (VVTA).

New registration is required for any existing curriculum in which major changes are made that
affect its title, focus, design, requirements for completion, or mode of delivery. Therefore, | ask that
you contact this office prior to initiating a significant change in this program.

We wish you and your colleagues success with the program.

Sincerely,

CBrorlowed Meine
