This letter is in response to Interim Provost Bringsjord’s correspondence of April 22,
2014, with additional information provided on September 26, 2014, requesting registration of
a proposed program in Global Health Studies leading to an Advanced Certificate to be
offered by State University of New York at Albany, in the standard and distance education
formats.
| am pleased to inform you that on the basis of our review the program detailed on
the attached listing from the Inventory of Registered Programs is registered for general
purposes under Subchapter A of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education
(Chapter II of Title 8 of the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations for the
State of New York) until September 1, 2015. After that date, registration will be extended
annually until the Department’s next review is conducted.
New registration is required for any existing curriculum in which major changes are
made that affect its title, focus, design, requirements for completion, or mode of delivery.
Therefore, | ask that you contact this office prior to initiating a significant change in this
program.
