UNIVERSITY THEATRE PRODUCTIONS

The University Theatre is the production organization of the Department
of Speech and Dramatic Art, a laboratory wherein the theories of dramatic
literature and criticism and of dramatic technique can be brought to the
test of the living theatre. Major productions are under the direction of
members of the departmental faculty and are considered to be part of the
regular curriculum in Dramatic Art. Participation in these productions is
open, as are most courses in other departments, to all registered students
interested in acting, stagecraft or design. Tryouts are announced in the
Albany Student Press and on campus bulletin boards.
