Torch Yearbook

These couple of pages are the most dif-
ficult in the whole book, there is so much to
say yet it’s so hard to write. What it mainly
boils down to is ‘Thank you’; Thank you to
the seniors who have purchased this book
making it possible; Thank you to the Student
Association, for their support; Thank you to
the members of Torch and University Photo
Service. These are just a few examples of
the people who make this book possible. I |
have had the opportunity throughout the last
couple of years as Editor of The Torch to
meet with other editors around the country
and realize how lucky we are to have a book
like we do.

While I feel very lucky to be able to be com-
pleting my second addition of The Torch as Editor it is an extremely large

amount of work and it is time to move on. Like you I graduated this May and
have moved on from Albany, though still make frequent trips back to visit. I
wish all of you the best of luck in whatever you go onto after graduation. [|
hope you always remember your time here at Albany, I think this book does a
good job of triggering some of those memories.

Ryan Sutton
Editor-in-Chief
258

I would like to take some space to thank a few of the people who helped with the production of this
book. I can’t possibly list all of them so if I leave anyone out I apologize.

MOM and DAD: You guys are always there to support my photography and editing at school, even though it was just
an out of control hobby rather then a career.

GOLD: As you know these books just wouldn’t get done without you. The amount of times I’ve emailed or called
with a random question is countless and you always came through with an answer.

BEN ROSENTHAL: I know I have said it before but your always there to give me strait answers to anything, never
sugar coating the reality of things. Good luck and Thank you.

DAVE TATE: The end of last year was an interesting time, I’m glad you ended up happy where you are. Nonetheless
your input into the book was greatly appreciated, I hope you stop by as much next year as you did this one.

PAUL BARRETT: You did a great job as chief photographer, it was a lot of work to ask from anyone but you picked
it up and ran with it. Next year you have my job, I’m sure you will do a great job. Good Luck.

DANI ISAELOV: You really did a great job organizing the office in the last half of the year. I can’t wait to see what
you do next year as chief photographer. I’m sure you will keep the office focused and organized.

DEIRDRE MANGAN: You gave me a nice break from both school and yearbook work, just about every Thursday
like clockwork you would be in the office. Even now as I am writing this you chimed in on AIM. J

MIKE DURINZI: What can I say, you and your office is always there to resolve any problems with senior portraits.
Next time I’m in Philadelphia I’ll be sure to stop by the studio.

MCGREEVY PROLAB: You guys have been there so much for me the past two years. It’s so nice to have your lab

‘ so close.

STUDENT ASSOCIATION: Everyone in the office has helped out so much. From the AAs to the EBoard, it was a
strange year for everyone, but you were always helpful and there to answer questions.

TORCH EDITORS: The wealth of information that each of you have is mind boggling, but as a group it’s unbeliev-
able. It makes the job much easier knowing that I could always get in contact with someone who has done it if I had
a question.

UNIVERSITY PHOTOSERVICE: Once again you guys did a great job gathering the photos in this book. This book
is as much yours as it is mine. To those of you who put the extraordinary time and effort into your work I thank you
so much. Having such a dedicated team of photographers makes the work I do so much easier. Any of you could
have your own book someday so continue working hard.
