TRADITIONS VERSUS RULES

‘The distinetion between College traditions and sophio-
more rules is one which cannot be repeated too frequently.
College traditions are just what their name signifies, cw
toms which have grown to be accepted by the student body
and have been incorporated fnto its code of action, Sopho-
more rules vary from year to year, as sophomore classes
vary

College traditions will not be broken by loyal freshmen
or loyal students of any class. ‘The custom of wearing
“frosh buttons” and toques is a tradition, ‘The front doo.
