CAMPUS PROGRESS NO, }

I. Pouring of concrete on the foundations of the
Service Building continues, notwithstanding strikes and
threats of strikes.

Ir. Report from Stevens this morning indicates
that negotiations are moving favorably between the
Dormitory Authority, architect, and contractor, to
bring the first Dormitory imto line for approval of
a contract.

TL. It has been decided that the northwest Dormi-~
tory will become Dormitory No. 2, rather than the south~
east Dormitory, by reason of the fact that good compaction
already exists at the base of the northwest Dormitory.
Stevens informs me that our request to provide Atmos~-
pheric Science Research Center with an observation post
atop the northwest Dormitory is approved, and I am
furnishing him with duplicate copies of these details

so that the architect may bring working drawings into
line.

Iv. Our priority listing of buildings has already
proved very useful to Stevens. He was in a meeting yes~
terday where the architect posed the question which we
anticipated, and was in a position to respond promptly,
based on our priority Listing.
