Campus Progress Report No. 177
Project #01~285'= Major Rehabilitation « Relocate Elec. & Water Svce, In
Waterbury Dining Factlity

Today we Inspected and accepted the above subject contract In Waterbury
Dining Factlity. The project, which was started on 26 May 1971 was administered by
the Office of General Services ag our agent, and executed by the Henze! Electric
Company of Albany.

Most of the water and electrical services to this faclitty had aged to the
point where It was either dangerous, or In great danger of fatiure. For several years
it had been clear that a major correction would be required. This was difficult
since all of the original IInes were covered and Inaccessable. Now this Job has been
satisfactorily completed and most of the lines have been moved out where they are
readily maintainable. The Job was well-executed by both the contractor and the
Office of General Services, and Is one of the few contracts that we have finished
ahead of schedule. This was the most fortunate aspect of the Job and will enable
Food Service to move In In plenty of time to make ready for the serving of food at
the beginning of the fall semester. The contract was scheduled for formal completion
on 31 August.
