At 2:00 p.m. today, blds were opened for our East and West Podium Court
development. This fs the third attempt that has been made to secure bids within the
allocated funds appropriated for this Job. $316,000, was the appropriated amount,
and two bidders out of the five came within this figure. There were:
Waldbillig Construction Company, hatham, New York
August Boh! Construction. Company of Albany
Bohl was the lowest bidder and will probably be awarded the contract after the
Construction Fund has made a thorough review of the provisions of the bids.
It Is unlikely that any work would be started yet this winter, but the total
Job Is scheduled for completion by September 1}, 1970. The completion of this work
will see the end of formal landscaping around the academle podium and among the
dormitories, with the exception, of course, of the Indlan Quadrangte, which had to
be dalayed until! that construction Is finished.
