DATE: 12 April, 1968
FROM: Walter M. Tisdale

TO: President Evan R. Collins

SUBJECT: Campus Project Report Now 121

Again today we contacted the Office of Land Acquisition to
determine the status of the Maloney property. Although the Budget has
not yet been formally approved, we were told that this project Is
still in the package which has been granted informal approval. Thus,
na one expects this to be removed from the approved Budget. As regards
money to purchase, Central Office anticipates no problem because they
have hard cash, so that they can triple or quadruple the $36,000.
mentioned in the Budget If this becomes necessary.

After formal approval of the Budget Is recelved, they pre-
dict that it will take from four to six months to consummate the
acquisition. This will be in ample time, but nevertheless, | have
requested the most prompt action so that "a bird In the hand will
be au falt accompli", and will preclude further disappotntment that
might always arise If we let It go too long.
